The land composing Cashiers Lake is among the most prominent in town. Centered around its namesake lake this unique land has long held the opportunity to extend the edge of town southward. Yet moving forward quickly was never the intended course. Our chosen path has been to move forward consciously. We have patiently evolved our thoughts on the long-term stewardship of Cashiers Lake — watching and learning as the village continues to grow and thoughtfully finding our place.
We’ve Done Nothing in a Hurry.
In the same way nature took her time creating this valley, so, too, did we in coming up with a plan befitting its beauty and soul. This would be a community of connection. Of wellness. A place born of a dream to live gracefully and mindfully, to thrive in the balance of what we’ve been given and what we create. And why a spa is one of our signature amenities, along with very soon, an exceptional collective of neighbors who truly embrace the spirit of Cashiers. This is our vision.
Revitalizing a Treasured Lake.
As a steward of the lake and the community beside it, our steps have been cautious, and the lake has had our undivided attention, for it connects us all to nature, and one another.
With the help of experts in fields of wetland and watershed restoration we’ve embarked on an ambitious program, creating a series of biofilters, forebays, and littoral shelves that remove sediment, now, and for generations to come. The result will be an expanded reflective lake that reaches right up to town. Upstream, Cashiers will be more beautiful than ever, as will the Chattooga below.
