Press Release

Cashiers, NC – The Cashiers Lake residential community currently under construction near the Crossroads recently announced the highly anticipated start of lake restoration. The approximate 100-acre private development project, including 24 acres of the lake, is located south of Frank Allen Road in the southwest quadrant of the intersection of Highways US 64 and NC 107.

Cashiers Lake receives water from a 671-acre watershed of the Chattooga River. This restoration project is the result of 15 years of study, planning, and federal and state permitting to remove decades-long sediment buildup and allow for maintenance in the future.

Wildlands Construction which specializes in stream and wetland restoration, has been hired to conduct the comprehensive lake work. The schedule for the coming months of dredging activities will be weather-dependent.

Marvin and Helene Gralnick, stewards of the property, explained, “We are committed to the future of Cashiers Lake and the surrounding village. We’ve recognized the lake’s important environmental role in the health and welfare of this watershed for many years, and we plan to continue to safeguard its natural beauty.”

Cashiers Lake residential offerings are planned for Spring 2025. For more information on real estate opportunities, register at www.CashiersLakeNC.com or contact Stephanie Edwards, Sales & Marketing – Cashiers Lake, sedwards@danielcommunities.com.
